Recognize Your True Potential and Become Successful

RECOGNIZE YOUR TRUE POTENTIAL AND BECOME SUCCESSFUL

Once a student in my class shared with me – Sir, not every student comes to college to study. They are here to have fun, enjoy, and get a degree at the end of three years and leave. Because of this attitude of theirs they are not allowing others to do anything productive. They make fun of other students who tries to be active in class.

Most of us are very sensitive in nature. Whenever someone teases us for doing something good, we start doubting ourselves - am I doing the right thing? Nobody likes it when I try to be active in class. I should stop doing these things; maybe then people will start liking me.

In order to be a part of a group, in order to please others, we start behaving in a manner that is liked by people around us. We don’t care whether the behavior is right or wrong for us. We start valuing our friends rather than ourselves.

Unknowingly we start a journey that will lead us to a mediocre lifestyle, a life of struggle, a life of complaint, a life of boredom.

Do you want to break this barrier and take control of your life?

Here is the key – Don’t let what others say about you define who you are.

Whatever negative things people say about you may not be true, but you start believing it like it was your fate. Someone tells you – Hey! You look like a fool when you try to speak in English. You start believing that person and stop having conversation in English. You forbid yourself from learning a new language just because someone said something negative about you. By taking this action what you have done is you have handed over the remote control of your life to that person. That person cannot do anything in life, but he loves to play with your remote control. He keeps on pressing the buttons on your remote control – Hey! Don’t try to act smart in class. Just keep your mouth shut. Who do you think you are – a leader? Behave like a normal person.

If you start believing who you are based on what they are saying then remember, you will lose your opinion of yourself. You will never have your self esteem.

Anyone who makes fun of you, who pulls you down, who doesn’t allow you to be your best, can never be your friend. Those who tell these kinds of lies to you, maybe they themselves are having a disturbed life. Maybe their life is messed up. When someone stops you from speaking in English, maybe he himself is afraid to speak in English and he wants you too to be like that so that he can have you as his company. First he was the only person who was scared to speak in English, now he has you as his company. You will also become like him and start to pull down others so that they too can join your group. Then you all will together have a big pity party.

Just get rid of these toxic people. You don’t need to depend on people around you to tell you what you should become.

You have to decide what you were created to be. It’s in your hands. It’s your life! Start recognizing your value. Start saying to yourself – I am amazing! I am wonderful! I am a masterpiece!

People are going to make you feel mediocre and average. Are you going to believe them or are you going to believe yourself?

I challenge you to believe your true self!

Let others be what they want to be. I challenge you to be the very Best!
