There is a BIG Difference between studying and learning. Studying is what we do in school and colleges. We are taught by professors, we refer to books on our specialization. Most of our studying revolves around understanding the 'What' of things.

Learning is where we get to know the 'How' of things. 'How' is learnt by doing things. We can study finance in college and get to know all the definitions and formulas, but to earn big money we need to learn 'How to Earn Big Money'.

In the chapter WORK TO LEARN - DON'T WORK FOR MONEY from Rich Dad Poor Dad, the author Robert Kiyosaki focuses on key things that we need to learn if we are really sincere about becoming rich.

1. You are one skill away from Great Wealth -- SALES!

2. Financial Intelligence is a synergy of ACCOUNTING, INVESTING, MARKETING, and LAW.

3. Get to know a little about LOT rather than knowing a lot about LITTLE.

4. If you are not a good leader you will get shot in the back.

5. Seek work for what you will learn rather than what you will earn.

6. If you want to learn Sales Skill it is highly recommended that you join a Network Marketing Company. They have some excellent training program's that help people get over their FEAR and REJECTION. This is the main reason people are unsuccessful.

7. If you only do what you are interested in then you will only get what you are getting now. I am not interested in going to the gym yet I go because I want to feel healthy and live longer.

8. The reason many business start ups remain poor or struggle for their survival is because they focus on building a better product and know little to nothing about building business systems.

9. The more specialized you become the more you are trapped and dependent on that specialty.

10. Seek to LEARN MORE rather than EARN MORE. In the short term it may earn you less. In the long term, it will pay off large dividends.

11. Main Management Skills needed for SUCCESS :

a] The Management of Cash flow

b] The Management of Systems (including yourself and time with family)

c] The Management of People

12. The Most Important Specialized Skills are Sales and Marketing.

13. The better you are at Communicating, Negotiating, and Handling your Fear of Rejection, the easier life is.

14. In addition to being good learners, sellers and marketers, we need to be good teachers as well as good students.

In Conclusion

In today's digital world the way we interact and deal with each other has dramatically changed. With so much free data and knowledge at hand, it has become really difficult to convince or persuade others. That is why it has become even more important to sharpen our selling and marketing skills. Without these two key skills, the road to becoming rich can be filled with lots of potholes. 

Learn to persuade people and they will give you what you want. This is the biggest lesson we can learn from this chapter form Rich Dad Poor Dad.
