REAL QUICK Way to Learn Spoken English Starting Today

REAL QUICK Way to Learn Spoken English

Whatever be the language we can never perfect it. We can become better at it but there will still be scope to be better and then even better.

Learning a language is always WIP - Work In Progress. So, if you think you are good at speaking any language, chances are you are scratching the tip of the iceberg.

The good news is that anybody can learn to speak any language and develop a strong command over it. Only if he invests enough time and follows a certain workable routine to learn that language.

There are many people out there who want to learn to speak good English but are not able to pick up the language. They struggle with basic sentence constructions or with vocabulary.

One way to get dedicated to learning any language is to have a purpose -

Why do you want to learn to speak in English?

What will happen if you don’t do it?

There can be a variety of reasons. Sometimes you have to force yourself to learn a language. Because it becomes a hurdle to your professional success.

Here I share with you three fundamental yet effective courses of action. This will help you to develop your English speaking skills to a great extent.

3 STEPS to Learn Spoken English Real Quick

[1] Listen to English News of prominent News Anchors and take notes.

When I had to develop my vocabulary I started listening to Mr. Arnab Goswami on YouTube. He has a good bank of power words that he uses in his debate.

Now, you may agree or disagree with his chain of thoughts and ideas. That’s okay and it should not matter to you right now. Your purpose is to pick up some powerful vocabulary and a distinct way of expressing a point of view using those power words. Mr. Arnab makes use of some not very common words that add weight to his whole debate.

You too can pick up and learn many powerful words and add them to your own vocabulary.

Here’s how I did it:

While listening to the news when I hear a word that sounded new to me, I will pause the video. Then I will note down the word in my VOCABULARY DIARY. I have subtitles on as I watch the video. This gives me the spelling of the word.

Once I have the word, I immediately google the word to find out the meaning. I write down the meaning in my diary.

Sometimes you even have an example sentence using the word. I write down the example sentence. If not then I will search for example sentence using the word and then write it down. Next, I listen to the news clip again and see how the anchor used the word in a sentence. After understanding it I create my own original sentence based on the word. I write that down too in my diary.

Finally, I google the synonyms and antonyms of the word. I note a few of them in my diary.

You can even create a beautiful and colorful mind map of each word in your diary. This way you create a picture of the word. The mind map shows the meanings, example sentences, synonyms and antonyms.

As you can see, you did not learn just one word, you learned many words connected to that single word in the form of synonyms and antonyms.

Create Your Very Personal English Dictionary.

Do it with as many words as possible and you will be able to create your very own power words dictionary.

Even if you do two words a day, by the end of a year (365 days) you will have a humongous list of 730 words. I’ve included even Sundays and holidays here.

Feel free to choose your own News Anchor. The only condition is that he or she should speak high-quality English.

[2] Enjoy learning English as you follow the above course of action.

When you do something that you enjoy and has meaning for you, you will never feel bored. In fact, you will look forward to it as this simple step is making you better at speaking English each day.

It becomes a joyous experience.

That is why it is supreme to have a meaning and a purpose behind learning to speak in English. Without solid motivation, chances are you will give up on your effort or dream. The 'why' is indispensable.

[3] Revise and Use these words in your conversation daily (or almost daily).

Don’t take a holiday from learning to speak any language (English in this case).

Let us do a small exercise.

Think of all the words that you use to speak with people around you.

How do these words come to you without any effort?

The simple explanation is -

We remember the words that we use in our daily conversation because we keep on using them many times a day.

So, if you don’t want the words that you have worked hard on to remain in your diary then you need to use them daily.

How to Incorporate the words into your daily conversation?

This can be a bit tough. Keep a look out for situations where you can use the words you have learnt. As soon as you get one, use that word in your conversation. This way you are training your brain to get used to the new word.

Role-play and have a friendly conversation in your mind with your favorite person.

If you don’t get a situation, create a fictitious situation where you can see yourself using those words.

Invite your role model or any person you want to in your mind and then have a good conversation with him. Remember, it’s only in your mind. Nobody will come to know about it. Not even the person you have invited to have a conversation with. But you will have a good time and even develop good conversational skills.

When I was doing sales, I used to follow the same routine. I used to invite my customers in my mind and then pitch my training program to them. They would give me objections and then I would try to overcome those objections with my answers. It was a great learning experience for me. And it worked in real life. I can say that because when I went to an actual sales meeting, I used the content from the same conversation. I was able to convince the customer to buy my premium product.

Once you too follow the same process of having a conversation
in your mind with your favorite person, you will be ready to speak in your real life.

Try it! It will be an over-the-moon learning experience.

In Conclusion
